Stampede Park Terms of Entry

GENERAL TERMS

1. Tickets, passes and other entitlements are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, non-refundable, revocable and void if altered, lost, stolen or fraudulent.

2. Security screening/checks are in place at entrances and within Stampede Park. All guests and their belongings may be subject to such screening. Guests declining to be searched will not be permitted into Stampede Park.

3. We reserve the right not to allow any bag, parcel or other items to be brought into Stampede Park, and to deal with any unattended object in such way as we consider appropriate. Prohibited items should be kept at home, stored in your vehicle, or can be voluntarily surrendered at the entrance. Surrendered items will not be returned.

4. Please show common courtesy to fellow Stampede Park guests, volunteers and employees by not using profanity or engaging in unsafe, illegal, disruptive or offensive behaviour. Any form of verbal or physical abuse towards fellow Stampede Park guests, volunteers and employees will not be tolerated and will be grounds for immediate removal from Stampede Park with no refund.

5. For the comfort of all guests, smoking of tobacco, e-cigarettes or other products that produce a vapor or smoke are permitted in designated smoking areas. Marijuana (for medical purposes or otherwise) and illegal drugs may NOT be consumed on Stampede Park property.

6. In keeping with our family-friendly atmosphere, proper attire, including shoes and shirts, must be worn at all times. Clothing with rude, vulgar, offensive language or graphics and images/emblems that can be identified as gang colours are not permitted. These items of clothing must be removed or turned inside-out. If in doing so the results do not meet the Calgary Stampede’s Terms of Entry you may be asked to leave Stampede Property.

7. Bikini/bathing suit tops must be covered up while on Stampede Park. Sheer, mesh and see-through clothing cannot be used as a cover-up over bathing suits.

8. Laws prohibiting consumption of alcoholic beverages by minors, illegal drugs, and disorderly conduct of any kind will be strictly enforced. All guests are encouraged to drink responsibly. Please don’t drink and drive.

9. Access to attractions or venues at Stampede Park may be subject to additional terms and conditions (for example, safety rules, admission fees as well as COVID-19 testing or screening). To the extent that such testing or screening is undertaken, CE&S makes absolutely no representations or warranties with respect to their accuracy and/or reliability. CE&S shall have the exclusive right to determine whether you have satisfied any condition necessary to access an attraction or venue.

10. Amusement rides will be available at Stampede Park during the Calgary Stampede. There is an inherent risk in participating in any such rides. We expect our guests who seek to enjoy such rides to:

    • Exercise good judgment

    • Act in a responsible manner

    • Comply with all specific guidelines posted at the entrance of every ride

    • Obey all oral and written warnings

    • Properly use all ride safety equipment provided

ADDITIONAL TERMS

1. We endeavor to make your time at Stampede Park as safe and enjoyable as possible. Please be aware, however, that there are risks inherent to your visit, including being exposed to or infected with COVID-19. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and can lead to severe illness or death. If you are at risk of more severe disease or outcomes, consider postponing your visit. By visiting the Calgary Stampede, you voluntarily assume all risks and dangers connected to, associated with or incidental to your presence at Stampede Park. CE&S is not responsible under any circumstances for any loss, injury (including personal injury or death), illness, damage or liability that may arise out of or is in any connected to your presence at Stampede Park. You hereby waive and release all claims or actions against CE&S or any of its sponsors, as well as against any of the respective affiliates, directors, officers, employees and volunteers of the CE&S or its sponsors, for any loss, injury (including personal injury or death), illness, damages or liability that may arise out of or is any way connected to your presence at Stampede Park, regardless of whether such loss, injury, illness, damages or liability arises from negligence, libel, defamation, loss of privacy, COVID-19, testing or screening for COVID-19 or otherwise.

2. We may photograph, film, videotape, record or otherwise reproduce the image and/or voice of any person who enters Stampede Park and/or attends Calgary Stampede produced events and use the same for any purpose without payment to any person.

   1. You consent to be photographed, filmed and/or otherwise recorded in connection with, or as part of, CE&S’ journalistic, advertising, marketing, promotional, archival and/or security activities;

   2. You consent to such photography, filming and/or recording, including the use of UAV(unmanned aerial vehicle) / drone which may be used to capture footage and will be flown in close proximity on park. And to any use, in any and all media, throughout the world in perpetuity, without compensation to you, of your appearance, voice and/or name for the above-noted purposes;

   3. You understand that all photography, filming and/or recording will be done in reliance on these consents given by you by entering Stampede Park; and To protect, among other things, the personal information of our guests, you agree: (i) not to reproduce, perform, display or upload any photographs, videos and/or recordings, that you may take or record while at the Calgary Stampede; and (ii) upon our request, to immediately remove and/or delete any and all such photographs, videos and/or recording online or from any other media.

3. Admission is not guaranteed in the event of a force majeure.

4. You acknowledge and agree that your admission to and attendance at Stampede Park is conditional upon your compliance with all Rules, including for greater certainty: (i) these Terms of Entry; and (ii) all applicable laws, by-laws and posted facility rules and conditions.

5. We reserve the right to deny admission or to require a person already
   admitted to leave Stampede Park, without refund, liability or compensation if
   we consider that the circumstances so require.

6. We may from time to time, without prior notice and without refund, liability or compensation, change the operating hours of Stampede Park or any attraction, close Stampede Park or any part of it temporarily, restrict the number of persons having access to Stampede Park, and/or suspend or cancel any attraction or entertainment program if we consider that the circumstances so require.

7. These Terms of Entry are subject to change without notice. From time to time, changes may be made to these Terms of Entry to, for example, reflect changes in our legal or regulatory obligations. Revised versions of these Terms of Entry will be posted on this website. Accordingly, we encourage each of our guests to refer back to it on a regular basis prior to attending Stampede Park.

8. Other important terms.

   1. Under no circumstances will CE&S be responsible for any loss, injury (including personal injury), damages or liability that may arise out of or is any way connected to an event or your attendance at Stampede Park.

   2. As above, you hereby waive and release all claims or actions against CE&S or any of its sponsors, as well as against any of the respective affiliates, directors, officers, employees and volunteers of CE&S or its sponsors, for any loss, injury (including personal injury), damages or liability that may arise out of or is any way connected to an event or your attendance at Stampede Park, regardless of whether such loss, injury, damages or liability arises from negligence, libel, defamation, loss of privacy, or otherwise.

PROHIBITED ITEMS
The following items may not be brought into Stampede Park:
• All forms of knives/scissors/bladed items
• Firearms/slingshots/ammunition
• Conducted Energy Weapons (e.g. Taser)
• Replica firearms/weapons including items that appear to be firearms
• Hand tools/electric tools
• Alcohol
• Drugs/drug paraphernalia/illegal substances
• Drones/Radio Controlled devices
• Skateboards/Segway’s/wheelies/shoes with wheels
• Mace/pepper spray/bear spray
• Paint/markers
• Fireworks
• Explosives/flammable items/ignition devices
• Compressed and/or liquid gas/aerosol sprays (except personal care products, sunscreen, insect repellant)
• Corrosive chemicals/flammable substances
• Bicycles/scooters
• Light emitting devices (lasers)
• Banners/signs/voice amplification devices
• Air horns/artificial noisemakers
• Sporting Goods (baseball bats, hockey sticks, golf clubs, bows and arrows)
• Masks that disguise the identity of an individual (face masks and coverings related to COVID-19 or health and safety are permitted).
• Pets/other animals except animals with a Service Dog Identification Card
• Materials of an extremist/offensive /discriminatory nature
• Pad locks/chains/cables/zip ties/handcuffs
• Flyers/samples/promotional items/giveaways
• Glass containers /other containers in which their contents cannot be easily checked
• Articles of clothing with offensive language/images
• Any item deemed a danger/threat to public order or safety

PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES
The following activities are not allowed at Stampede Park:

1. Acts of demonstration, solicitation, distribution or private sale of materials or event tickets on these premises are prohibited unless pre-authorized in writing by Calgary Exhibition & Stampede Ltd.

2. The distribution of printed or recorded materials of any kind.

3. Photography, videotaping or recording of any kind for commercial purposes.

4. Engaging in any unsafe act that may impede the operation of Stampede Park or any associated venue.

5. Guests arriving to Stampede Park intoxicated will not be admitted into Stampede Park.
